The INEOS Styrolution Bayport Plant located at 12222 Port Road in Pasadena Texas. We will be starting up our sites process units. We will be using the sites safety flare during this process, and you could hear some loud noises as steam is being released. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. Maintenance activities at the Valero Houston refinery may require the use of the safety flare system to safely burn off excess material and minimize potential emissions. This is a courtesy message from Baystar located at 12212 Port Road in Pasadena, Texas. We are planning to re-start one of our processing units after a shutdown. There may be intermittent periods of flaring from our Multi-point Ground Flare over the next 24 hours as we bring the unit fully online. Being at ground level, the Multi-point Ground Flare looks different than a typical Stack Flare. Our neighbors may be able to see flaring and hear noise. The flaring poses no danger to the community and no action is necessary. The flare is part of the facility’s safety system. It has been fully tested to ensure it will operate as designed. We will take every precaution to minimize the duration of flaring and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

This is Eurecat US, located at 13100 Baypark Road in Pasadena, conducting fire training at the facility from 9 A.M. to approximately 10 A.M. Smoke may be seen rising from the facility. This is routine training, and there is no cause for concern by the community.
