There is no danger to our community or workers and no need to take any action. We will eliminate this flaring as rapidly as possible and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

This is Texmark Chemicals, Inc., located at 900 Clinton Dr. in Galena Park, with an UPDATED courtesy message for the Galena Park community. A chemical spill occurred at our facility. No injuries reported. Texmark has reported the updated spill estimate of 1,190 gallons of DCPD (dicyclopentadiene) to the City of Galena Park, Harris County Pollution Control Services, US Coast Guard, TCEQ, and all other proper authorities. The sheen on the surface of Panther Creek remains contained. Additional booms are on standby in the event of rain. Containment, air monitoring, and clean-up continue. We are coordinating with local officials, and working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Updates will continue to be provided on this site, when needed. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused the community. Thank You.
